Some presidents play golf, some jog, who knows what else they do to unwind. But suppose the president had a Cub and wanted to fly it on nice days to relax. What do you think the secret service would have do to in their duty to protect him?
They would probably ban Cubs entirely and require him to fly a Cirrus- no dangerous tailwheel, and a parachute! Can you imagine some people actually fly in death traps that aren’t equipped with BRS chutes? (shudder)they would need to make sure his Cub didnt have legacy wheelgear
One President owns his own Boeing 757. When that is very lightly loaded, it performs very Cub like. Well, a 2000 foot runway would be more than adequate.
Toured the aviation museum at Hickam Airfield, at Pearl Harbor a couple years ago. They had the J3 that George HW Bush soloed in with the original log books with his entries in it with his solo times. Included his signatures.

First thing they would say is: Don't fly with anyone that knows Peter Brown or Glenn G.!
And require the biannual form Capt. Cub.
I took his youngest brother for a ride in a Comanche.JFK soloed a Cub near Miami during the war, I think.

No, it was from BOS to HYA in 1966. Also brought him from PBI to BOS in a B-767 during the 90s. He was drunk as a skunk on this last flight. There's an amusing story which accompanies this one.Was that you who flew him off the Vineyard in July 1969?
Ok folks, let's not get too far OT here..

Hey Peter---what`s also interesting I got my "bi-annual" in the J-3 with Kathleen when we flew it last month from New Hampshire to Florida---17 flying hours, 8 fuel stops, 1100 miles---no battery no starter no generator ---dead reckoning ??? what`s that---call me if u get to Daytona---603 205-4727---Capt CubBiannual with Capt Cub. That’s an interesting thought. First... has anyone of the non-female gender actually flown in the same airplane as him? I’ve never seen it... [emoji6]
