X-brace STC install question

Good afternoon,

When you are installing the additional diagonal tube(s) in the overhead, do you jig the top rectangle to prevent distortion? Wings are not on the airplane.

No. Just tack, and don’t get one joint to hot.

And when done, measure the diagonal both ways to be sure it is still square. If it is off, a little heat in the right place will bring it back square. It would be a good idea to take measurements both before and after.
