Bleeding pedal mounted masters

My tech share of the day. Grove masters have a little cap screw that’s drilled for a vent. They work great but pressure bleeding from the bottom is a messy process. I searched for any sort of hose fitting that would thread in but came up empty. Grove sells aerobatic vents so I bought some. I opened them up and removed the ball and spring that serve as the check valve since I prefer to stay upright in flight. The housing of this fitting conveniently fits a hose so now I can pressure bleed alone with no mess. I may end up making a vacuum bleeder but it won’t be today.

Hmm. I already own a suction gun for spraying solvent. That should make a good vacuum bleeder if I turn the air pressure down. I don’t have much to lose by trying it.

Good idea. My suction gun didn't have the oomph to lift the fluid. I have an ATS pressure bleeder so I used that.
