    constant speed prop on Javron

Looking at a Javron kit that's at the prop ordering stage. Going constant speed and very familar w/ mt and Hartzell trailblazer, what are you using that your ecstatic about?

What is the layout of the tubing in the front of the fuselage right behind the firewall? Does it form a V or an X. Mine in a TCOW fuselage made by Javron, it is in the form of an X. The X blocks the installation of a governor which is needed for the constant speed prop.

If your's is an X and the engine is not larger than an 0-320, this Airmaster has potential: https://www.supercub.org/forum/showt...airmaster+prop

Front mounted governor is actually a more simple install. Less parts to hang on the aircraft.

Sorry for the delay, work and all...
I'm a 20 year Husky owner looking at trying something else. Looking at a project a friend is doing that's in need of a prop. Mission requires the cruise speed of a constant speed.
Flown behind the MT's on mine and the Hartzell Trailblazer, like them both but hoping to get some feedback on any exp props that you might think deserve a look.

Why not a ground adjustable and save a lot of weight and money.

Randy Goza raved about his Whirl Wind constant speed on his SQ2.

Whirl Wind 200A works for me but it's in their STOL class. If you want speed there may be better options. I cruise at 100mph on 35s so not slow in the Cub world.

Can I ask what your powering it with? Did you consider their 284? My experience on the Husky is the Trailblazer and Ultra are the best short field props and also have the best cruise speeds.

    Thunderbolt 10-1 IO-390.

Your friend would likely appreciate the ram cooling this prop has. I'm pleased.

It's not him I'm worried about.
    Thanks for the feedback.
