Oil Filter Adapter

I have an O-200 powered J-3 in right now that the owner wants an oil filter installed on. The traditional side mount will not fit under the rear baffle on this installation. Has anyone dealt with this before?

There is so much space between the rear baffle and #2 cylinder I would think it could be modified and moved forward.

I already tried, no dice.

That is clearly a different rear baffle. What aircraft is that, PA-18-95?

Ok, thanks. This airplane has a PA-18 cowl but I'm not sure what STC was used as he hasn't brought me the logs yet. I may have to look into changing baffles.

PA18-95, I modified the rear baffle a bit.

Thanks Steve, that looks pretty good. I wonder what baffles are on this airplane.
