PA-11 extended baggage

Maybe I explained wrong about dogleg we have an 11 that had the mod done in the 60s and was looking for some paper work for it

I take it they put the Super Cub elevator control system in as well? Would have to have done it to have any kind of baggage other than the bag that sat over the elevator bellcrank.

Hi Steve
It still has the original bell crank the just have the wood floor above it. I will try and get some pics.

Sounds like a field approval to me. I looked high and low to find a way to put a larger baggage in a J3 without installing the PA-18 elevator control system. I ened up with a slug of Atlee Dodge STCs at the end. Well worth it.

The PA11 had a diagonal tube not a dog leg. Not sure why someone would dog leg it with the stock elevator bellcrank in place because your baggage floor bottom is limited and dog legging it wouldn't give any advantage.

Here is how it turns out when you do the Atlee Dodge PA-18 Baggage and Elevator control in a J3.

That looks fantastic. Dwight R. also has a 337 he does for -11s for an extended baggage.

Grant,
Did you use pin strip tape to give the wood boat look? I like it, well done 3.

Thanks! No that is teak & holly marine plywood. The dark is teak and the light is holly. I drew up the floorboards in CAD then cut and adjuted them about 4 times using cheap luan ply. once I got them fitting perfectly I sent the CAD files to a marine plywood house and they have a CNC router and they cut them out for me.

I'll be posting a lot of pictures soon on another thread.

Thanks Grant, I will definitely be getting some of that. I think I know what the bar/counter top is going to look like in the lake cottage.
