    Safety cables

    If any cub needs safety cables it is stock standard gear!!! That is why it was made. The new gear is much better, BUT it depends on how you fly/land. Has you passenger ever had the headset come off? have you bounced hard enough that you ever had time to think if you should just do a go around? If you have new HD gear and know how to land or do to push the edge then you should be fine. BUT!!! If you want to live on the wild side get some backup, Airframes has some new lightweight stuff.

    safety cables have nothing to do with the gear legs... stock, or not.... they don't help with damage to them.

    the safety cables are just for the shock/strut damage... and cabane vee damage, or it you rip cabane vee attach ears off fuselage(most common problem)
