Throttle Clamp Question

Greetings All,

I've searched the forum for throttle clamp posts and they are all regarding the throttle clamp on the engine mount. I am looking for how the throttle cable housing is clamped inside the cockpit at the throttle lever side. Unfortunately, someone else disassembled this system during the first phase of the project and is no longer available to show me how it is clamped.

Does anyone have any pictures or descriptions of the throttle cable clamp in the cockpit?

Thanks, Gary

Thanks Guys, I see it now. I've got the parts manual from Univair and searched the drawings on www.supercubproject.com, but have a lot of trouble finding things in either. This forum is a tremendous resource, I hope I get the chance to buy you guys a cold beverage some day.

In the diagrams I have seen for assembly it looks like the throttle cable to the engine goes in the bottom hole and the link between the two goes in the top. The picture you posted is opposite of that so which way does it go...

I have rebuilt 5 Super Cubs that had never been recovered and they were like the pictures I posted. Not to say someone didn't change it but that is how I took them apart so that is how I have it drawn in my notes. I do have Fuselage assembly drawing 12545, 13388 and 14486. The two earlier drawings depict the cable to the engine being in the bottom hole in the front throttle but the later drawing 14486 shows it in the top hole.

I also thought top made the most sense, just because it takes more movement and would make it seem more linear
