I was up at Javron Cub last week dropping off a fuselage to go into Jay’s jig for repairs. On my list of items and STCs was an upper and lower baggage door. I looked at several options for for the lower door and decided to go with Butch Kavanaugh’s STC for the large lower door. The CC door seemed a little on the small side. When considering the upper door, I haven’t been able to find an STC to cover that installation. It seems everyone just calls it a minor by flipping the original battery door onto the side and not doing any welding. What I want to do is this;
Doors aren’t much good unless they are big enough to actually fit something thru which is why I liked Jay’s idea. Thoughts or ideas?
