Old Aeronca Photos from Russ David Beckner

I found these interesting, and so I'll share them with you as well. Not my photos, just sharing them as well.

These are posted by a fella named Russ David Beckner, who I assume either owns them or took the photos.

Found more info :
"Some background on these...
Photos are from the archive of my father-in-law John Houser (Aeronca engineer). Many were rescued from the trash bin after Aeronca got out of personal aircraft.
After John's passing, I inherited his collection. Being a photographer by trade, I'm working my way through the prints, negatives and transparencies making hi res digital copies.
I don't own a plane, nor am I a pilot... but grew up in Middletown a half mile from the plant, and have been to every local Fly-In since the first in 1983."
...Russ David Beckner

Caption : TG-5 for the AAF, LNR-1 for the Navy. The AAF got nearly all of them though.

"A full color shot for Easter!
(wouldn't want to do an egg hunt in those weeds)
I believe I remember hearing this photo shoot was done for a magazine ad."

"That’s Ed Burns, the designer. The prototype was built in 9 days - Concept to Flight. The nose of prototype was bolted on at the engine mount points. The production models were a little different. Based on a TA fuselage. I hope to fly at Middletown next Summer."

Apparently this one is still in Maine, undergoing restoration.

The only ones that opened on my iPad were the glider and the four person shot. Others said they were invalid links. I am interested in seeing them all. Sounds very cool.

This one has a tremendous amount of awesomeness going on.
