Kenmore Air Harbor STC conversion to 150 HP Lycoming O-320 on a PA-12

I am new to posts. If I am not doing this with proper etiquette please forgive me, and be kind in correcting my errors. I will do my best to comply with all the ins and outs of posting. If I do make a mistake it is not intentional. I am working my way through the Kentmore Air Harbor STC. I am stuck on finding an air box. I need an O-320 150 HP air box that was used on the early PA-18's. This is the square air box. I do not know what this air box looks like which makes my search more difficult. Univair does not sell the air box any longer. Cub Crafters only has the Continental air box. Cub Doctor does not have it. I have two questions. First, is there any chance the O-290D air box is the same as the O-320 air box? If so my problem is solved. If not does anyone know where I can purchase the Lycoming O-320 air box that went on the early PA-18's?

Happy Landings to all,
Steve

Wouldn’t Kenmore be able to help you? Did you purchase stc from them?

Yes, It was purchased. $300.00. Paperwork received for my airframe. NO! Every question I asked the response was, "Nobody has ever asked that question before." Or, "Let me kick that upstairs." Most questions go unanswered. This question they gave me a Univair part number. Univair does not sell the air box any longer. The air box was listed with a "KAH" part number which I assumed represented Kentmore Air Harbor, and I assumed they sold the parts. I was told, "We have never sold any parts to support this STC."
There is no diagram of the air box in the paperwork.

That is why I posted for information as to where I could purchase the air box that goes on an early model PA-18 with the O-320 150 HP Lycoming and is square not round.
In the last few minutes, I got a little luck and found one.

Happy Landings,
Steve

I used a different STC but think I used an airbox from a Tri Pacer that worked out fine.

I used Clyde Smith's Cub Doctor airbox on my 12 with an o-320. I had to make one small modification to get it to fit around one hump on the carb (maybe at the accelerator pump I don't remember) but it works good and at $390 a good price point.

Ive done the Kennmore STC before. You do not need an early -18 carb air box. If that’s the part number it’s calling for it’s wrong. You need the original style PA-12 airbox that Clyde Smith has on his website for $390. You are correct in saying Univair no longer makes them. Also, you will need to make an approximately 1 in aluminum spacer between the air box and the carb. This lowers the airbox so the cowl fits correctly.

Thank you so much! Do you by any chance have the dimensions of the air box you used? I have a great air box that came off of my PA-12 with an O290D. It seems to fit nicely on the carburetor. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your input.

Happy Landings.

Here's a couple of bad shots of mine, no spacer used or needed that I could tell. 4" long at top, 6" at bottom, 4" tall, 5" wide-same as brackett air filter. Clyde we site has a good photo of it

This was a big help also! I have this air box from my old engine and it is like new. Thank you for taking your time to take pictures. Happy Landings.

Good Morning, Do you remember where you bought the 1/4"-20x 1.25" or 1.44" drilled hex head bolts with a very short grip length and more thread length, and what the part number is to order them? They are to comply with Piper Aircraft Corp. drawing 14368 referred to by the Kentmore STC for the oil cooler bracket. The closest I could find were only 0.91" long, to short. I ask only because I am not having any luck at all locating them.
