Does anyone have any experience with Sterna Propellers? With that I am planning to run a titan IO-370 somewhere in the 195HP range. My planned prop is the whirlwind now but looking into all options.

I called their US office at Zephyr Hills FL 3 times this past winter and left a message that wasn’t returned, and knocked on the door tnwice when I stopped for fuel and no ones home.
I think Cory Robin has an new version somehow

Great! looking forward to hearing about them. If y'all don't mind sharing what are they asking for them price wise?

I have installed the new 86.5" ground adjustable propeller (Stock O-360 C4P, P-Mags, straight pipe crossover exhaust)

About 5 pounds per blade and 12 pounds for the hub. About 3350$ spinner included + 150$ shipping to Canada. But you better check with them to have the real info.

Was turning a 86-36 Catto, 84mph at 2450rpm
Haven't had the chance to try the GA200L-82 Whirlwind STOL propeller. I did not like the idea of going from 86" to 82"...

I want this new prop to be able to cruise 100+ mph and then be adjusted to takeoff short like my 86-36 Catto.

So far, I'm pleased. Running very very smooth, no vibration.

I don't have real numbers to share yet but:
Was able to pitch it to cruise 105mph !!
Now setup to cruise 90mph, and really strong takeoff.

Catto is now on the shelf, but not for sale...

This is my first GA prop. Have not tried the WW. Tried a Catto 86x38 and last one was a 86x36 Catto. The 36 Catto pulls very good, very well built, looks strong and durable, but a little slow. Not for sale...

The GA Sterna is a very nice prop. Mine came without bolts, tool and instructions.. I bought some bolts from Saber, and NordLock locking washers from aircraftspruce. But the outside bolts were metric, so I bought them online from BellMetric.. Maybe the bolt ''problem'' is now solved.

I've played with the pitch. From 2200 static rpm to 2600... Cruise at 2450rpm from 80mph cruise to 105mph for a draggy Cub like mine. Pitched to 90mph @ 2450, I could swear it takeoff as short as the Catto 86x36. I feel the Sterna perform real good !

I flown in heavy rain and it damage the paint. Did a few dents on the leading edge, mostly when I took-off from a muddy-rocky spot... I've also sandblasted it good when I was stuck at gross-weight trying to beach my plane out of the rising tide.. I feel the Sterna is lifting more sand and and rocks from the ground? I think the Sterna is less durable has the Catto... But I feel it is a good product, and I'm really happy how it performs.

I don’t mind going slow, so I now have the Catto 86-36 back on the plane. I feel the Catto is built stronger and I needed to put it back to compare performances, but I will fly the Sterna again. Two different prop

Hope it helps

Thanks Oli. I have a Javron with O 370. Catto 84-42. 105 mph at 2400. All around prop. Statics 2300 and 675 pull. Looking for a stol prop for competition. I have left multiple messages at sterna. No call back. Nicole always calls back. Thanks
