LONE STAR STOL Competition

Weather has been **** but great group of people to sit around and watch it rain with. Maybe get to fly after lunch today. It's an adventure for sure. Better to be here and it not happen than be home and miss it. ;)

Poor Bushwheels. The scraping, scuffing and grinding sound of locked up Bushwheels on concrete haunt me in my sleep!

Still a good line up.

Just spoke with Steve Pierce and he reminded me that live streaming will begin at 2pm EDT rain or shine! Rain has stopped, but still misty, saturated air with low ceilings and reduced vis. Go to liveairshowtv.com to watch.

I am pretty proud of Tony and Pierce. Damn good job! Which husky driver came in 3rd? Hope it was one of the TX panhandle boys.

I expected Henry to win the takeoff part, 300+ hp., 850 lb plane. But I was more impressed by his last landing, he absolutely nailed it
His new slats played a huge role in that. Hal Stockman had slats on order before this event, so their next matchup should be interesting also. I enjoyed the hell out of watching live, at home!

someone should be able to give you the time he went. I just watched bits. didn't see his either.

Does anyone know what Mountain Matt's numbers were? I thought for sure he would be on the podium for Heavy Touring! His runs looked awful good to me.

Ugh! That's the whole five hours! I watched quite a bit of it, but missed Mr. Pierce's part.
I tried to watch but felt like an idiot when I yelled "POWER" when they'd stop in mid-air especially after I realized I didn't have enough band-width for it to stream...
