The vessel, SOS Minnow, is owned by “Sustainable Ocean Systems, Inc.” (SOS). The firm does salvage and scientific research. Last week it pulled 12,000 LBS of old dirty fishing nets from Kaneohe Bay. Not sure what the ship was doing yesterday as seen in the video. You have good eyes, I did not notice the fenders!
Ha ha! Good catch! I used the Free $ GARMIN VIRB Editor (The .MP4s were shot on a Sony A7 iii however). I must of “Dragged and dropped” the individual clip twice! The weather is super! North shore is firing today.
The duplicate was a completely honest mistake! Thank you for watching and your critique! Aloha! The avatar is the R44, great little helicopter!
I definitely appreciate the input on the video. Mahalo. Of course there are not a lot of Cubs in Hawaii. My quiver would have a light twin or a helicopter if I were considering much inter island flying. Fabric aircraft in the tropics need a lot of care and a good hangar. I saw a Citabria (wood spar) over a 10 year period literally disintegrate on the ramp in Honolulu. I really love Cubs etc. but they just didn’t seem to fit my location and mission at the moment. Maybe, if we travel more to Alaska I will get one.
Mary Lou needed the car for work this week (she normally rides “The Bus” to the office) and I didn’t want to ride my dirty old dirt bike in the rush hour traffic down to my usual hangout at the marina. So... I edited a medley of videos from an old laptop of 2018-2019 of Oahu. It was a good year..please join me for the ride and take a look...
There is even a clip of me in the water last year deploying a (4) Man Life Raft! Comments are welcome, Aloha!!
Never too late to get out in the water! Whoever has the most fun is the best surfer! Come out to Hawaii I will loan you a surfboard. Guaranteed to have fun. Good learning waves on South shores. Plenty of surf schools too.
