    Tundra Tire Dolly

Occasionally in our hangar we need to be able to slide one airplane around on the hangar floor in a sideways fashion to help with getting another airplane out. When it was on 8.50's we used some inexpensive car dollies to jack it up and move it around. Worked great. Now that it is on 29's these will not work due to the width and pressure of the tires. I bought a set of 1200 pound furniture dollies and made some ramps to get them on top but they would not roll at all on our hangar floor with the airplane loaded on top which surprised me so back they went.

Anyone out there using something currently for the same reasons??

Here is a link to the dolly we were using. They were a little harder to move the 180 around with but work fine with our current airplane since it is about 500 pounds lighter.

My mechanic uses GoJack 6000s. They’ll fit and lift 35s providing the tires have adequate air pressure. The current model is 6013, I think, and they have the same capacity as the 6000s according to Zendex. I’ll have a pair soon.

I have a pair of Sunex 1500 lb dollies from Amazon that work similar to the Gojacks. They worked fine on my 180. Have to air up the 29 Bushwheels to 20 lbs.

Bought a set of the go jacks and can confirm they will lift the airplane with 29’s around 10 psi. Thanks for the heads up.
