    Pa-12 Seat Removal?

Need to remove the seat on my PA-12 to get under the floorboards... My 12 has flaps... Sullivan STC SA578AL. The flap handle bridges over to the seat, how do I remove the flap handle so I can lift the seat straight out? Is there some type of sleeve I need to remove?

    Thanks...

There is a liner tube inside. Usually a cotter pin through the two to keep the liner from sliding out. I have a tool to remove the liner tube on a Cessna 180 tail stinger that works on the flap liner tube. Found the cotter pin missing in a PA18 Tango Cub that had been modified with flaps. The liner tube was stick out into the fabric on the outside of the fuselage.
