    HGU 55 helmet for sale

I bought this helmet (used) several years ago with the idea of converting it for use in my Cub. It is a slightly used HGU 55 with boom mic and adapter for helicopter use. I used it once in a helicopter and it worked, but a helicopter was not to be in my future. It includes an Oregon Aero fit kit and is a large (or XL) since it fits my pumpkin with lots of room. Visor is in good condition with no noticeable scratches. Does not include oxygen mask. Asking $550 plus shipping.

For anyone interested in this helmet, a simple adapter will allow you to plug into a standard, two plug type, intercom as used in general aviation.

*One caveat; is this helmet set up for low impedance (like military) or high impedance (normal general aviation)?

Thanks for the info Web. I’m not sure on the impedance. It was last used in a civilian A-star helicopter intercom.

It should be a high impedance setup then.
