This is a short compilation of the GOES17 sat images for past three days showing the extent of the smoke in Alaska. It's a rare high moment where most of the state is quite visible via satellite imagery.

Yep, just looked at the weather between here and Whitehorse. Also pulled up a map of Yukon fires and I’m beginning to wonder if my trip home down the highway in a week and a half will be doable. May have to leave my cub and come back up and get it. But we know how fast things can change.
