Berlin airlift

Sure does.
I was fortunate to know and cherish the friendship of a Burma Hump pilot. He died in his 80's from a heart attack 20 minutes after giving one of his advanced aerobatic lessons, twice a week weather permitting year round. Lessons that would make most of us cry and faint.
He came by my shop one winter day to show me his "Peoples Freedom Medal" from China that had bounced around the world for decades before reaching him in a box layered with postage and addresses. It was clearly an honor that touched him and he spoke of those who didn't make it back as deserving the honor more than him.
Great man who gave friendship in a way I never know before.

Can't believe I referred to Louis Robinson as he or him, his name will not be forgotten by me.
