Mont Blanc landing

Skywalker

PATRON
Vermont
YouTube "ascension mont blanc 3D" shows a nice inclined spot at 4400m, where all reports put the landing. Anyone heard what they used? Two Swiss guys would use a Porter, right? They'll have to sell to pay the fine.

Super cub of course:

When the weather is right paragliders land on top there. I don't believe they get in trouble, though I understand there is a bit of restricted airspace on one side of the mountain that probably gets clipped.

First guy to land there was Henri Giraud in 1960...in a Super Cub...'course. Met him in 1984 at the Alpe d'Huez altiport. Impressive guy, taught a lot of guys the art of high altitude mountain ops including the guy I was flying with that day. Mr Giraud actually learned from Geiger who many say was the originator of the whole art, at least in Europe anyways. When Giraud landed on Mont Blanc in '60 he made the front page of a lot of papers, a French hero...funny how times change.
