Sounds about right from sitting in on 20+ years over seminars at Lock Haven. 15 years or so ago one of the old time IAs at one of the seminars thinks that he had worked on the last wood spared Cubs built. One wing had 2 or 3 splices and the other had 6 splices and the spar had been signed by 5 or 6 Piper employees.
