Not doing the Klessig Farm this year but we have an open invitation from Robert for future years. That said, there will be some great fly outs. More to come soon.

    Thanks Jeff.

Regarding meals (a subject far too near & dear to my heart!), is it safe to assume that any meals listed that do not have a drop down selection are paid for on-site (ie. Friday evening Pavillion Pizza Party)?

George, yes, there are number of "pay as you go" options this year.

Not this year, this year the shirts will be cool and comfy!

Speaking of shirts, I have to order them soon so if you want to be guaranteed a super nifty 2019 New Holstein shirt, you need to get yourself registered!

Is it possible to stop in and buy a shirt separately? I'm just a lowly champ driver based out of KHXF, and hoping to pick up a super cub in the near future.

NOTE (or check notams): There are now frequent glider operations as New Holstein as there are several based there. They are very good with using the radio. Also remember that Runway 22 is LEFT traffic during the event!

Just a FYI. Caution landing behind the tow plane. Particularly when they are using a crossing runway. There is a LONG tow line behind it, so I’ve heard.

Evidently, and where is the Saturday breakfast fly-out to "Jay Baeten's Aerodrome" generally located?

Best bang for the buck with bushwheels is to get the extra tread, adds 4 pounds per tire but if I am correct it is 1/3 -1/4 more rubber. If you are good enough to notice 8lbs you can win any STOL comp.

We did over 2000 concrete landings on my first set of 31's, and lots of taxiing. I know because we kept track for AK Bushwheel at the time. Certainly wears them out faster than landing only on grass, but there are a number of people here who have rebuilt their airplane because they were trying to save their bushwheels from hard surface. So I guess it's the A&P's that are cheering... and you can buy a lot of sets of tires for what a rebuild costs.

My finding has been that it is pivot taxi turns on asphalt that do the most damage in our neck of the woods. Easy (or no) brakes while taxiing around a big airport makes a difference!

The dull, muffled, scrubbing sound that 35s make when landing on pavement haunts me.....2000 pavement landings on bushwheels is impressive

Face it, some people are in a different tax bracket and certain things don't bother them. I make Lee mow two grass landing areas in Graham so I don't cringe every time I land.

Actually, the 35's are even more robust than the 31's.

Interesting. That’s a lot of landings. I wonder if anyone kept track with 35’s? I can’t count that high.

The plane was leased back to a flight school, there were several instructors giving taildragger endorsements as well as renters so we really piled on the landings!
