    Lou,

That was a hugely fun year and very special to me as it was my first time out west in my plane and the first time in the mountains. Thanks for taking me under your wing that year and helping to introduce me to a whole new world.

Looking forward to connecting in Winifred.

    PIREP:

Heller Bottom; Dave Arcand spent most of a day on Heller bottom putting what cones he could find back on the runway and drying out the cabin. The Picnic tables turned into a boat and headed for Ft. Peck. The grass is about 14-18in high in places, but Dave had no trouble in the Maul. still recommend using the West end where he says it is better.

Cow Coulee: Stay out of the thing that looks like....might be.... sorta is.... a lake off the runway.

All the rest (we haven't been into Woodhawk) are as usual.

    Food served ca: 7:00pm

WX looks better early on Friday. Showers probable Saturday morning and unsettled either side. Prog changes about every 10 minutes

Travel safely.... See you all Friday or when you get here. Ralph

Next year Ray..... set another plate. If this C185 can be tamed, Ill be there before our flyin. R

    Ralph,
I have complete confidence that you’ll master the 185 long before next year. W e would be honored to set a place for you anytime. Hope to see you on Friday in Winifred.

When flying to the various Big Tire fly-ins this week and next, be aware that the BOI weather radar is out of service, and will likely stay down until mid-June.

Jeff your killing me, I can't make it this year but we had a remarkable time back in 2014. I made live long friends on that trip. Spearfish was off the chart and Winfred is a total jewel!

I stayed for Father's day and the town/Bar had a food tasting, I told the ranchers I was a rain maker, They told me right off the bat that "On Gunsmoke they almost killed the Rainmaker" well a few drinks were passed so I asked them what kind of rain they wanted. One of the Ranchers wives spoke up and said a 3 day soaker with no lighting!! I told them no problem but I would need a cash up front, and not to worry when they saw my airplane headed south, I was just "seeding clouds" Well the rest of the story goes like this it rained for three days solid washing out road etc. I bet in Winfred I could still get a few free drinks on that story still!!

if you can make it show up!

No recon out in the strips tonight , but the same storm hit us hard, but short duration. It was drying well an hour later. The grass turf on the airport only got wet and not soft. I suspect anything with grass on it will be fine. That same storm grew and went north towards the strips if not a little east of them. Unknown until tomorrow. R

Hangar is filling, many old friends here already, there might be more rooms available if anyone wants to avoid camping.

WX progs unsettled off and on during the day....but improving. Travel safely. r

    Winifred C130 Flyby

This was awesome. Scott had hopped a ride for a 4 year old the day before in his Husky. Then he did this flyby the next day. The kid (and the adults) went bananas!

    Great fun!
