    Valdez stol 2019 live stream

Is there a live stream source for the 2019 Valdez STOL competition? I visited their website and it makes it sound as though you need to log in to Facebook to view the stream.

Live stream is just awesome. Nothing better than watching it on a full size TV.

They must have hired KTUU or someone with their satellite truck this year. Much fancier video.

Watched the turbine's this morning. The Porter sure had a nose down approach with a lot of speed. My one flight in one of those with eight people on board the plane performed way better.

That plane was apparently in Switzerland in late April, according to photos on PC-6.org, so the pilot may or may not have much experience in that plane.

The Beringer brakes do not feel like they provide as much braking as the old style wheels and brakes (among other things).

The short field charts over a 50' obstacle in the Porter AFM assume a beta descent, something like 1500 fpm, which may be the reason for the steep approach. Flying a normal approach in the low-50s with an empty plane works well. The performance chart says a 60m (~200') ground roll at sea level, 15°C and 1500 kg. A newer B2-H4 weighs about 1450 kg empty (a B2-H2 would weigh less, but add skis).

It sure did not look like he was anywhere near the limits of that plane.
