    Steve,

Sorry to hear the news, but certain understand and support your decision.
From my own experience, it is sad how the lowest common denominator ends up ruining things for everyone else - and people like you, who are just trying to make something happen, are the ones who pay the biggest price.

    All the Best,

    Clayton

I guess that means I’m fired from my job of selling raffle tickets and t-shirts at JC. Where’s the unemployment line?

Wendy, I think the IAF is hiring for a remarkably similar position....

Wendy, we're hiring for a similar position, called "Seller of Raffle Tickets Extraordinaire". Contact me if interested! Even if not, I'll contact you.

    Can I follow???

I think I will show up just for fun. Put on my Eaton mask, cook a meal, and start opening beers for Mike Woodson!

Got the plane, going to take the trip!!!

If asked, I am there to fly and have fun. Steve Johnson? never heard of him.
I don't know where you've been me lad, but I see you won first Prize!

Just don't lead Eaton lead you around! Especially if you have big N numbers.

This is disappointing, but I have to tip my hat to Steve. I think he has done everything he reasonably can to hold the fly-in together.
All, unfortunately CubCrafters will not be doing anything official at Johnson Creek this year.

I spoke with Steve while up at the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering, and with the uncertainty around the event with the State of Idaho and the lack of a main sponsor we can support, it just isn't viable for us to come over and provide dinner for the group. Besides that, John W, the guy who put on the great feeds of years past isn't with CubCrafters anymore, so the food would probably be a big disappointment anyway (trust me, you don't want ME cooking for you!).

In lieu of providing dinner, CubCrafters will make a donation of some sort to the raffle at Big Creek supporting the Idaho Aviation Foundation.

I personally am happy with it being an informal flyin. I just enjoy the awesome location and the friends and camaraderie!

    Brad,

Come on over for a visit, I still need a proper FX-3 demo and if you bring a certain Aerospace Engineer along I’ll be happy to cook for you.

AAAANNNNDdddd- here I go again. Work calls, needs me through the 13th.

Talked to myself, rationalized and thought of all the ways... but once again I need to be an adult, and it sucks.

I will be thinking about you all as I am sequestered into the big state of Alaska, working while you all have fun.

The good news is that at least I will be flying, and I won't have to pay for gas!
