What the heck? Someone buy an A-10 on Gov. surplus? Awesome!!
 
All real airplanes. Looks like an A10, F14, F22 and a couple others parked on the ground. I didn't dare loiter over it for too long. It's a USAF research area. This one has 3 pedistals to mount aircraft on. I think it's to record radar signatures of aircraft in different flight attitudes. 20 + years ago we had a SAC base in Rome NY and there were a few of the pedistal sites scattered around the Mohawk valley. One had a C130 that they would flip around.

We’ve got similar pedestals at Pax River. Pretty sure sad Glenn says for collecting radar signature data.

Glenn, can you convert that link to a KML file? I have not been able to open that in GE.
