Looking over from the elliptical I noticed what books had found their way onto the hangar coffee table. It made me smile. Maybe I should read one of them for the umpteenth time. ;)

Three of them I don't have on the shelf, but read one of them.

How is the Hunter book? Looks interesting.

What is the full name of the Cessna book? I could not read it expanded.

The Gazeteer is well used here. I have two copies at home, one at the cabin. One copy has the double secret spots where to find fish and critters, keep that one hidden from my friends with STOL planes:wink:

The book case has quite a few books from Granda's time at the airlines, starting in the 30's. Cool history in books, glad they are around!8)
 
Standard Catalog of Cessna Single Engine Aircraft. Specifications and pictures of every year of Cessnas in the 100 and 200 family with some history, too. The cover photo stirs old memories of 80R.

The manual for Successful Hunters. Tony Russ is a good writer and a good researcher. And apparently a damn good hunter and outdoorsman. Craptons of good info and pictures. Lots that we already know and lots that we don't. Not a book I can read from cover to cover in one sitting but a great book for a chapter or two now and then.

Some good photos in that one, but a fair amount of not-so-accurate information- at least for the 180.
Look through the 180 listings, many "no changes" notations as I recall.
Then read the old Skywagons-R-Us model changes page--
some notable changes every year (esp for the 50's models),
including some fairly significant ones.
 
The captions that summarize changes under the respective year photos aren’t specifications, just editorial comments. What’s there is accurate. What’s not is easy to find in the specs. The biggest interest in this book is seeing the paint schemes of each year. It also has STC and AD regerreferences by year. It’s a good resource, long out of print, and it fetches some crazy prices if you go looking for a copy on the internet. Every Cessna owner I know who sees it wants it.

A copy of Building & Shooting Your Black Rifle and my tin foil hat.

Actually usually a copy of the repair manual for one of my beater car or trucks along with my Bible.

Purchased our first taildragger during 2018, so read "Taming the Taildragger" many times while getting up to speed with the PA-17 Vagabond. We also like camping with a travel trailer at Army Corps of Engineers and also on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thinking about building a Zenith CH750 STOL, too.

Let me plug Mike Rowe's new book. The way I heard it.

Probably best as a bathroom book. Short chapters. Really entertaining.

Got this nice photo book from Wilderness Outfitters as they celebrate 50 years of float flying. If you’re looking for a Canadian fly in fishing trip, these guys do it right!

Crane porn, car porn, and "NOTES FROM THE COCKPIT", written by my neighbor lady's father as it happens, more importantly a decades long Idaho commercial back country pilot, chocked full of great true stories, (nobody could make some of these stories up) and an EXCELLENT read!

Another book along the same vein as Gerri Mock's,
an adventure trip in a 180,
is Our Fight To Adventure by Tay & Lowell Thomas Jr.
Actually a better read than Mock's book IMHO.
