I just got done reading the book. I picked it up last year when we went to anchorage.
I remember growing up my father would always comment about one of my relatives being up on mt McKinley but never realized how significant it was.
My mother’s first cousin was John Russell. The 23 year old from Washington.
This happened before I was born, but I remember uncle John flying his Waco UPF-7 to Oregon to take family on rides. He was also a pilot for Pan Am.
Any others with connections to the tragedy that happened in 1967?
