Ram mount diameter cockpit frame

I'm looking to buy a RAM mount for my iPhone XS Max to install in my PA-18 (L-21B).
Unfortunately I'm presently 3000 miles away from my Super Cub for the next few months.

Can anybody provide me with the diameter of the frame tubing on top of the Super Cub glareshield?

I have had good luck using the Ram claw. It’s adjustable for a range of diameters.

Thanks...would that be a Small or Medium size RAM CLAW?
It looks like the small is good till 1 1/2 inch diameters tubes.

I use the small which yes opens plenty big.

Hint- look at iPhone holders for bicycles. I got one from Amazon that included fillers for attaching to smaller diameter tubes. Cost $10 incl shipping. Works great.

Look for the visnfa anti-shake iPhone holder.
