Falcon Instruments?

I've heard some negative comments about Falcon Instruments in as much as they have a short working life. Is this true, the prices are certainly less then other instruments. I need an Airspeed, Altimeter and Tach.......any other brand to check or other sources besides Spruce? Thanks

Wings & Wheels for airspeed and altimeter (Winters brand). I think Electronics International makes the best tach, but not 'traditional'. I've seen Falcon stuff way out of spec new, out of the box. I don't use their stuff much anymore.

I just went with a Dynon box but couldn't help put a pair of 3" Winters at the top just in case. As a placeholder I put in a Falcon VSI which won't center. A Falcon altimeter in my last machine was a bit sticky.
For Winter I like Paul Remde at Cumulus Soaring.

Have had several instruments fail. ...all of them Falcons.
