The best part of making that cowl was how you utilized the top part of the composite boot cowl. Somebody needs to make a top cowl like that for regular Cubs.
 
I made a J-3 cowl in 1966 out of .032 7075-0. Hammered it into concrete forms. 3500 hours later it is still hanging in there. All edges rolled like the original. I had no idea what I was doing.
 
I don't know how to edit the threads title, to more of making cowling and other parts....
