    Want to Rent: Alaska Hangar

I am flying my SQ2 on Amphibs to Fairbanks this weekend from Minnesota, and was wondering if anyone knew of a Hangar that would be available over the winter? I am looking to keep it there this winter maybe even next summer. Any leads are appreciated.

I'd take anywhere really. I'm moose hunting and do not want to be pressured to fly it all the way back to MN during Fall/Winter Weather. Would rather park it for a few months.

Hangars with vacancy or extra space are rare in Fairbanks. Deep cold and dark winters do that. There may be some so walking, driving, and asking might result in a score. There's mainly Metro Field, Fairbanks International's east side general aviation ramp, and Chena Marina, with some private strips scattered about. Outside parking is available and finding someone to clean off snow is possible.

You might want to check with Bob in Yakutat (Situk Fly Shop, and fuel sales). they often rent long term storage space at a good price.

Next year I will have space for you though.

I see N23MJ SQ2 on amphibs is now parked four spots to the east of me at Fairbanks International float pond. Called Blake and will keep an eye on it until it gets flown back to Minnesota.

Harris Air in Sitka might also have some space: 966-3050
