    V Brace

I bought an Atlee Dodge V brace for my 180. How is the center point attached on the seaplane kits?

Mine has a doubler, more like a oblong washer, then a flat washer, and a locking nut under the glare shield. I think it has a rubber gasket between v-brace and glare shield on top.

Eddie, I can’t remember what the factory used, but on my 170, we used a doubler under the glare shield. You’ll be amazed at how much less movement of the windshield you’ll see after installing a V brace.

Thanks, Mike. I knew it was thru bolted but was curious as to what if any structure the factory added under the thin sheet metal of the glare shield.

    I will add a doubler.
