J-3 Cowl Mounting Rubbers/Clips....

Hi All,

Having a ball flying the J-3 I purchased in January! Now up to a grand total of almost 50 tailwheel hours! :p

I'm starting to pick away at some various 'beautification' projects, and I'd like to replace all the cowl mounting rubbers/clips. At the moment, my plane has an ugly assortment of random half-grommets, hardware store nylon washers, and three sizes of spring retaining clips. :-?

Is there anyone that offers a complete kit of new hardware for mounting a J-3 cowl?

Thanks,

John

The tractor pins are available at good hardware stores.

Not sure the rubber washers were original equipment. My Cub came without them in 1962, and I have never felt any burning need to have them.

Howdy all, I have seen a friend use die cut discs of brown tanned leather below the SS steel standard clip pins.
