    Carb has a crack

Have an O-360 with a Marvel Schebler MA4. After cleaning the fuel screen and reinstalled, a crack developed along the barrel where the screen is. Any suggestion on how this could be fixed. Welded?

no idea on legality, but yes welding would work, but then you would need a tap to clean the threads out, and if I recall, it's an odd tap size?? maybe? I made a tap once for that...

There are lots of parts carbs around, I'd see if I could find one that fits your application and just use the top part.

Ended up sending it to D&G in Niles MI. They welded it and yellow tagged it. Nice job. Would recommend.

Pretty much an overhaul. Looks brand new. About three bills.
