The Last 50 Feet - TWA Training Film

A local KC aviator bought some TWA training films from the estate of an old captain and is converting them to youtube. Here is the first one. These days, there is a little more focus on touchdown point, but every thing else here applies to all the planes we are flying too. Video quality is not good, but worth the 10min watch.

That's cool stuff. Sent the link to an old friend who flew for Delta in that era. Thanks for sharing.

They made one on the effects of different rotation techniques (fast, slow, early, late) on takeoff performance. FlightSafety was showing it in their performance classes in the mid 90’s. Excellent explanation and demonstrations.

Always make me chuckle when you guys with every thing but the kitchen sink in your panel judge the boys that could cut the bacon with an ASI and their back pockets doing it daily in all kinds of weather. The real aviators are all gone.

Glenn, Not all of them, thank goodness you are still here! 8)
