Anyone still running 24x11x4? I have a spare set that I never use if you know of anyone needing some. I run them on my j-3 with an 85 stroker and they do fine except braking not too spiffy

Wind finally quit blowing for a bit so I loaded the mongrels and we explored the river. The coyotes howling across the river got their attention. Spring is definitely here.

I think it was one color, kinda cream-ish.
Also I think it had an 18-type structure (no wood spars sticking into the cabin area).

Was in Wanaka New Zealand and got to fly with Sue Telford in her Maule 235 the other day with my wife of almost 30 years Wendy!
Sue is the President of the woman’s aviation association in NewZealand as well as the GM of Classic Flights at the airport.
This area reminds me so much of Alaska, Idaho, in the look and terrain. Beautiful country down here.

Yeah you can monitor the stand by freq. I used the built in intercom, and wired in a voice activated and ptt switch, so when your flying with the window open and someone in the back, flip the switch and you have to push and hold a separate PTT for the intercom. That way it's not constantly breaking squelch. The led nav strobe and landing light pulse is surprisingly quiet. Only hear a very faint noise when the power is at idle, coming into land.

Thanks. It's the stock height late 60's supercub panel, and i got it from clyde smith. The 796 and air gizmo mount just barley fits. In the Carbon fiber map pocket, i wired in a USB (http://www.beliteaircraftstore.com/usb-charging-ports/) and there claim to no noise was also spot on. My old cheapo usb was extremely noisy, and you can put your phone in the map pocket and it doesn't dissapear into the abyss.

Kevin isn't ganna say where he flew today. I had to get my binoculars to see the Super Cub he was flying enter the pattern and then thought I was gonna have to get the shotgun out to get the Cherokee Six on the ground that was his ride back home. Then he had to try and explain how to use all the fancy avionics to the two old guys in the front seat and ran out of beer in the back seat on his return flight.

Flew into Albany N.Y. this morning. After talking to Glenn and Clay Hammond I drove south to Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. Been a long time dream to someday see this place. Not officially open till May 1st. But I got a nice tour and met some real nice people.

    I highly recommend it...!

Kem, you said some old guy gave you a tour. If it was the guy in the jeans standing in front of the DVII ( pix 4 ) you were with Aerodrome royality. Kenny Cassens has been there for over 40 years and is an amazing pilot, he can make that Fokker do things that if you get a chance to watch will astound you. He s also one on of the best antique aircraft Craftsman in the country. If you got a look at the Sprit of St Louis he scratch build 99% of it. I'm glad you had fun while there. Come back again
