Where did you fly today?

The smoke moved east this weekend.

I tell people that if flying was a drug, then float flying would be Meth! You'll rob your Grandma to pay for it! I love it. I took my neighbor float flying yesterday....

When my dad was helping me put them on at the end of the 14 hr Saturday he said what was wrong with me. I said isn’t this fun? He laughed. I said why couldn’t you have gotten me hooked on drugs or something. It would have been cheaper.

The floats are edo 339-JHS

Still climbing. I had my Mom with me and was headed up high so we could see from Leech lake in the north to Mille Lacs in the South. Even with the smoke vis was excellent last night.

I get easily distracted. Had to drop off some log books and got my feet wet. I sure do like being able to get fuel.

I let 10 year old Jacoby show me how to fly while I pumped the gear. It’s mind boggling how well he can fly and get us around with out seeing over the panel. He’s getting a handle on the 180, better than most owners.

Well, not today. Yesterday actually. Flew home from the Antique Airplane Association fly-in at Blakesburg, IA. Flew down on Wednesday. Glad I came home yesterday. Weather is stinko along my route today.

Yesterday I flew over Sioux Falls (Y14) to see my son Jake and his family. I gave some rides to the grand kids and Jake’s wife. Played cardboard box train with the kids. Nana Jill sent along some cupcakes. Great day!

Had a lot of fun flying in Italy, great place. The controllers were so laid back as opposed to say France, lol.my favorite quota from a controller near Rome” you don’ta climb, you don’ta descend, I call you back” with the accent just made you feel welcome.

That fourth from the last pic of TirolCub's post reminds me strongly of low flying Montana's Gravelly Range. A 2 wheel drive dirt road winds along the 8-9K + ridge, and it is a blast to pull one notch of flaps and slow fly the road. No dust or washboards anyway.

Pierce loaned me his 35s to see how I like them.

Damn him.

I hit some spots on the Red River that are growing in a bit. I've landed this one on 31s a few times, but it was a lot smoother today.
