Nice job getting the spades out of headbanging territory! I eventually trained myself to walk around mine on my S-7, but it took some pretty good whacks.

I still find ways to smack myself, usually on the aileron control horn sticking out the bottom.

Glenn if your dog can play poker don't complain that he plays a lousy hand. Watching me do this forum thing is like watching a monkey do math. Hopefully no one gets a crick in the neck from looking sideways, I'm one eyed so I have to look at everything sideways.

If you like that bit of redneck engineering, you'll probably like my tail wheel skid for keeping it out of the soft sand Click image for larger version.

The jury is still out as wether the skid helps any in getting the wheel on top of the sand any quicker. It still plows at slow taxi, But I think it helps stop the plowing earlier in the take off roll at a slower speed so if that's true it's a net positive.

Had a buddy with a Helio Courier went bar hoping with me yesterday. A beast of a stol plane, Thought the sand would give him more of a problem with it being a tri gear. Amazing what H.P. And a big wing can do!

Also had a slow fight contest.....It was a tie....The Woody loves being underestimated.
