OY-EAM off landing in Greenland

Came across this tale by a possible supercub.org forumite. Air Greenland also has a Super Cub in their fleet.

A local late model Super Cub, (metal ailerons/flaps), was delivered across the Atlantic when new, not sure if it flew the Northern VFR route or via the Azores. Am pretty sure no 90HP model has made the crossing.

The link wouldn't work for me. I spent a lot of time in Greenland in the 70's and 80's with C-130's on skis. Edit 3 1/2 hrs later it worked perfectly *****ing computers!

I was hunting in Greenland September 2015. We flew into Kangerlussuaq airport intending to take a boat about 5 hours up the fjord and river. Well, it ws too dry and the rivers too low for the boat ride so we had to take a large Sikorsky helicopter into camp.

When waiting for the helicopter lift, I was looking around the Air Greenland hanger and found a Super Cub sitting in one corner. Looked like it hadn't been flown for a while, but they told me it did fly fairly frequently.
