Airbox shaft

anyone know where to buy this shaft ? I found them for Continental but not for Lyc. Maybe they are the same.

They are usually the same. I use the McFarlane kit from Aircraft Spruce. Just rivet the new bearing mounts onto the air box.

Better yet, send your air box to Randy Rubbert, and he'll set it up so you never have to worry about it again.

These things wear out because they don't run in bearings. When Randy rebuilds an airbox, he installs Nylatron bearings. Smoother operation and will last a long time.

Just go down to the local hobby shop, buy a pair of bronze hat bushings at $3.99, and fix it one last time.
 
A friend took time out from brewing beer and building a Carbon Cub to make me a new shaft, and another friend who owns a company that makes control cables put a real end on my carb heat cable
