That's funny you mention that. I don't ever remember getting "buck fever" when shooting at rams in the past, but on this one, I had to set the rifle down once because my heart was beating very hard. It caught me by surprise.

Just some grouse for me hunting with Dad. Bears are decimating the corn food plots the sow looks large. ND pheasants in a few weeks will give a report.

Visited Penturen Church today. A historical place in one of the most remote sections of northern MN.... Way cool place to visit, reflect; and be thankful for air in your lungs, birds to chase, and a faithful dog at your feet.

Got a meat bull last Monday. First elk I've ever been able to get a truck to. After we stuck two trucks and had to get ourselves rescued outta there, decided there was nothing else to do but leave him overnight, luckily it was cold and no predators found him.
Flew game surveys on a couple of the ranches we hunt this week also. There were no hogs on one of the ranches only 6-7 years ago, they're everywhere now. Did our best to turn the tide haha.

Got a short break from my calculus and other classes and took advantage of it to get out goose and ptarmigan hunting for the weekend! We had a blast!

Skalywag, We are having a horrible time with 00 Buck. Probably because we are just above the trees and a bit higher. AR's work great, I am shooting a 300 Blackout on an AR platform, supersonic Barnes 110 gr. It just hammers them.
