I have not read the whole thing yet, but it is a great story so far!

My primary flight instructor, Renato Balestra, was from Brazil. I started my training with him in 1973 and he liked to tell the story of flying a Cessna 140 back to Brazil in the '60's to see his family. I don't remember many of the details now but it was an interesting and adventurous trip for him.

Poor Renato was later killed in a midair. I still miss him. He'd become a good family friend and was one of the smartest people I'd ever met. Somewhere he has a son nick-named Sport.
