Doug Turnbull will be on "How It's Made" the 17th of October at 9PM EST. It will be a two segment show about 8 minutes long. It will cover the restoration of a vintage Winchester 1886 lever action rifle made about 1895 to include restocking, metal restoration, metal finishes, engraving, wood finishing and checkering. You can check out some pretty cool gun restorations on his website too at: http://www.turnbullmfg.com/

Doug does superb work, restoration and he builds really fine rifles and pistols. He is currently building two pistols for me. One, a full custom .45 ACP 1911, is being sold by raffle. It will have the winners aircraft "N" number as the serial number, and an engraving of a picture of their airplane and aircraft type name on the slide. It will be embellished with other engraving and sport 10,000 year old Mastodon tusk grips. As with all Doug's work, it will be a beautiful piece of functional art. See more at www.stolaircraftmagazine.com or the issue coming out this week. I'll have the pistol at all the main shows next year. Our next project gun will be a AR built by Doug probably in .308.
