After years of running a CUB on Floats for instruction I was very concerned about using a Spam Can on smaller mountain lakes.
After flying a Super Cub with a Leading Edge tuned exhaust I figured something like that would help a C-172. Leading Edge does not yet offer a C-172 system so I went with Power Flow. It seems to work just fine....
200 fpm more climb so far and about 130 more RPM at max throttle.
Now I just need the lake to thaw.
Before and after videos , with new tuned exhaust.
Temp and wind conditions were similar both days.
Before the Power Flow exhaust. Take off run = 400-390 ft on pavement with me and 1/3 tanks fuel.

After Power Flow exhaust install. Take off run = 300-320 ft on gravel with me, FULL tanks and survival gear.

It will be interesting to see how she works on floats. It should be a little more roomy for my plus-size customers.
