    building exp PA11

Been building an experimental PA11 homebuilt off Wag Aero plans and a jig built by Roger and Craig Peterson. Learning alot as I go from this site as well as from phone calls to Roger, Steve Pierce, and others. Have been enjoying the build blogs and pics associated with them. As others know, at times it is hard to keep enthusiasm and direction on long term projects, so reading and viewing others projects has always been a boost. Thought I would try to post a couple of pics of some of my progress. Sheet metal in the pics is off an old J3 duster I bought. Too far gone to use about 90% of that Cub, but will use some of the small parts, plus the 0290D that was on it. Wings will be wood and I will be starting them soon. Then I can finish the birdcage, windows, doors, stringers, etc. Hoping to make Graham again this year, but a trip to Mexico may sideline that. Jon

Looks like a cool project. I look forward to watching your progress. A little each day and it will be a flying plane someday. Thanks for posting.

Tempdog, that little guy is my Grandson, what a hoot . He will probably own that plane one day, along with his "black car", Grandpa rebuilt for him.

Jon looks great. I have alot of time in both a J3 and Pa11. If your planing on flying from the front seat build the Pa18 adjustable front seat if your butt ever wants to have feeling again.
