    For the Geezers

I knew about the McDonalds coffee, but next year I Qualify for 50% off Alaska Airlines! (if this stuff is true?).

    SENIOR DISCOUNTS

Keep this list and send a copy to your senior friends and relatives.
As I was waiting in line behind an older gentleman at Wendy's recently, I heard him ask for his senior discount. The girl at the register apologized and charged him less. When I asked the man what the discount was, he told me that seniors over age 55 get 10% off everything on the menu, every day.
Being of 'that' age myself, I figured I might as well ask for the discount too.
This incident prompted me to do some research, and I came across a list of restaurants, supermarkets, department stores, travel deals and other types of offers giving various discounts with different age requirements. I was actually surprised to see how many there are and how some of them start at the young age of 50 .
This list may not only be useful for you, but for your friends and family too.
Dunkin Donuts gives free coffee to people over 55 .
If you're paying for a cup every day, you might want to start getting it for FREE.

YOU; must ASK for your discount !

It used to be 50% off the full "Y" fare (which nobody pays) and is much more than you normally pay with any sort of web based fare and it was space available which is a looser given the current load factors. You are likely to spend days getting on. For the most part, because of the misunderstandings, airlines have ceased such fares.

David Jaranson and I walked into a liquor store near Eagle River, AK. Upon checkout, the lady carded David (he was not THAT much younger than me) and reminded me there was a senior citizen discount.

    Steve,

That's funny, right there. David had to have been 40 years old if he was a day!

The grey in yer beard didn't (doesn't?) do a thing for you.

When I go to the local Diamond S Restaurant in Brazoria, the senior discount is automatically applied without even asking. But when I went to the local Sonic today and asked for my senior discount, the 16 year old girl at the window laughed me all the way out of the parking lot....go figure...

Great list! I'll probably go broke now that I know I can get a "geezer bargain" I'll go looking for them. It's like being on sale. I don't need it but it's a bargain. Gotta have it. (Learned all this from my wife.)
