Well, that is really cool. A part of history I was not aware of. Bet there was a lot of storys about these flights and probably a trail of wreckage coming and going as well. I read that in those days there was no problem with pilots knowing what the wind direction was, in the daytime anyway. No one had clothes dryer's so they hung all there clothes out side so they had wind socks everywhere.
