Glenn, I bought one of these, and love it. It works with the Iridium system, has many good features. One is able to send AND receive messages from about anywhere (Iridium based). I won the Spot Connect at OK18 two years ago and it was a piece of sx#^. I have no problem with Inreach. Very satisfied.

Do NOT forget a personal International NOAA SAR certified personal EPIRB too. They take a lick'n and keep on tick'n.

I take them everywhere, will not leave home without it!

Can anyone that has one of these confirm if the firmware was updated to allow 2 minute tracking intervals? And if so is it reliable? I was looking at a spot, but the reviews for hunting and aviation are horrible. This sounds like just the ticket. For those that are using one are there any issues that you have ran into?
