Way to go Mike!
I always look forward to and have learned a lot from your post here ,
Thanks

Anyone can know something. World is filled with them. What makes responsible citizens, being truly useful, is their contributions to their communities, crafts and professions. We've a lot of those here. Mike has been elevated into the pantheon of our fraternity by his peers. Congratulations, well done.

Mike talks....I listen intently. Thanks for all the advice and glad to see you receive this well-deserved recognition. R

It's good to see Mike being recognized. He's taught me a great deal, and was very helpful when I headed up to Alaska with my newly minted Commercial certificate. A first class guy all the way.

Yep, he's a cool dude. Clearly profesional.
But, being from Minn, would we expect anything else? :)
He wasn't paying attention in art class tho. (color scheme)

Sometimes when I'm about to skip a thread, I see those initials & read the last few posts.
There's a few folks on here that I just can't "ignore".

Congrat's again, I'm sure it is well deserved.

I always look for a post from Mike and always take his comments to heart. I'm glad he takes the time to be here on this website.
Congratulations Mike!

Congrats Mike. I learn something every time we talk. Keep up the good work. Your students are most fortunate.

I am humbled by all your compliments. That said, I participate in the MCFI program essentially because I'm lazy. The program requires one to continue to participate in aviation in several different venues, and continue to improve oneself. In that, it's a great program to keep me learning.

And, this forum is a GREAT learning environment for me and others as well. Every time I open this forum, it seems, I find some jewel of information to add to the tool kit. And, supercub.org is a wonderful community of fellow aviation junkies as well. Doesn't get much better than that.

For you CFIs, consider looking at the MCFI program: http://www.masterinstructors.org/ and think about participating.

For those of you who are very knowledgeable but aren't yet CFIs, please consider becoming a flight instructor, and give something back to this wonderful avocation we all enjoy.

Thanks again, gang,

Mike

"mvivion" is a sure reason to read a post. I have learned a lot from Mike and the other pros who take the time to share what they know. Not much "hanger flying" here, not sure where else I would learn much of this other than my own mistakes and I make enough of those. Nice to see recognition for his work.
Joe

Congrats Mike, that's awesome! I hope I can be a fraction the instructor you are once I get my CFI someday.

Congratulations Mike! Being recognized for experience is one thing. Those that share that knowledge with others is pretty special. Takes a special person. Glad there is some recognition.

Congratulations, Mike! I've read all (well, most) of your posts, and find your explanations are clear, concise, and complete. "Lazy" is one word I don't really associate with you, though.

Thanks for all your efforts here!

Anne.

Congrats Mike....I am humbled by those who achieve this honor. I decided to give back by becoming a sport pilot CFI 2 years ago....I have a new respect for all CFI's having helped several achieve their Sport Pilot"s license. This was my lazy way to give back since I am a mere Private Pilot with 1600hrs (almost all in cubs and Tcrafts) No Commercial, Instrument, or medical required. My hat's off those who are real CFI's...teaching has been both a great reward and a nice challenge to my skills. I recommend this option (Sport CFI)to those who, like me are too lazy (or poor) to get a commercial and Instrument....then the ultimate....CFII. Teaching someone to fly a J3 is a Hoot and Sport CFI allows just that!
